Amoskeag Flag (Manchester, NH)

In early 2017, my hometown of Manchester, New Hampshire, held a competition seeking designs for a city flag. One of my entries, nicknamed the Amoskeag Flag, was selected as a finalist. The contest received coverage through local news outlets, The Boston Globe and even appeared in a downtown mural.

The color palette and design reference the city's natural features. These include Amoskeag Falls, a waterfall central to early native settlements and 19th century industrialization, the Merrimack River and the region's surrounding forests.

The flag was supported by a promotional campaign on Facebook which garnered over 23,000 impressions. It consisted of content detailing the design and creative process along with supplementary posts exploring local landmarks and historical spots.

Additionally, four other designs among my submissions reached the final round of judging.
